Who is Clout?

Managing Director Bianca Ruakere (Te Atiawa/Taranaki) has more than 20 years’ experience in communications. She cut her teeth as a spokesperson for Shell International in its London headquarters responding to major reputational incidents and events that garnered worldwide media attention.

Bianca spent 12 years working internationally with Shell, including as an advisor to the current Chief Executive, in a range of communication disciplines including internal communications, change communications, media relations, issues and crisis management, stakeholder engagement, media training and speech writing.

Bianca's most recent job abroad was as Head of Media Relations for De Beers Group, the world’s largest producer of diamonds working directly to the Board, including the Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Corporate Affairs.

Since returning to New Zealand Bianca has consulted for a leading Wellington Public Affairs agency working for clients across a number of sectors including education, energy, electricity, health, construction, primary industries and for a number of Iwi across the motu. She is proud to have worked for Taranaki’s largest community-based health and social services provider Tui Ora, a kaupapa Māori organisation.
